December Blog Trains and a new Fan Freebie

The December 2017 Pixel Scrapper Blog Train is "Home for the Holidays".  I love everything about Christmas, but I'm the happiest when I'm in the kitchen creating confectionary delights with dough and frosting instead of my normal paint and brushes.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to paint, but there's something about creating a thing of beauty that you can eat as well as admire!

The Worldwide Christmas Blog Train is next.  This year, I decided to take it outside with "A Snowman's Christmas".   For all of us in the northern states, snow and Christmas just go together!

And finally . . . my December Fan Freebie.  The Santa and Mrs. Santa are part of a set of Christmas ornament patterns called "A Country Christmas" that I published a few years ago.  I thought they would be as happy on a scrapbook page as they are hanging on a whole lot of Christmas trees :)

November Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the leaves on our trees could be the same color as these?  As an artist, I would love to have our maple and oak leaves to be something other than green.  As it is, the leaves are all off our trees as of last week!  We had our first hard frost Saturday night, so any remaining flowers are rather dead looking as they go underground to hibernate. <heavy sigh>  None of this, however, bothers me once it snows.

I also have a new Fan Freebie!  I went a little "freestyle wonky" on this one, but I hope you enjoy it!  I used the same colors as the Blog Train so that you can mix and match as you please.

October Pixel Scrapper Blog Train

Although the days are getting shorter, I love the deep, rich colors of Fall.  It's sort of the last "hurrah" before it snows.  This is also the time of year that I pull out all of my pumpkin recipes -- Pumpkin Bread, Pumpkin Cookies, Pumpkin Bars and my favorite . . . Pumpkin Mini Cakes.  Yumm!  So now that I've made you all hungry, grab a cup of coffee and start downloading!

September Pixel Scrapper Blog Train -- "At The Zoo"

I was feeling a little black-n-white when I started working on this kit AND you all know I'm crazy about anything that resembles a horse, so I chose the zebra.  Here's just a little bit of trivia about these fascinating animals . . .

Zebras are black with white stripes (not the other way around).  But, if you shaved a zebra, you would find it had totally black skin underneath all the hair.  The foals are born with brown stripes that will turn black as it matures.  The most interesting fact is that their striped pattern is as unique to them as our fingerprints are to us -- no two zebra patterns are ever the same.
